'Common Weeds as Medicinal Botanicals and Food'
Join our mini-workshop discussion focusing on some of the common weeds that are traditionally sprayed, yanked, dug-up and bad-mouthed in your backyards, lawns and gardens. These 'weeds' are really medicinal botanicals, and more so, Food!
Just as in days of old, we'll take our harvesting baskets and visit with the local botanicals in the fields around Grace of Angels, learn about wild, medicinal botanicals and harvest them. Then we'll return to the Kitchen/Apothecary for some creative culinary fun: We'll make a yummy pesto from our harvest. Attendees take home their own custom-made pesto, a gathering basket and a handy plant identification guide.
