Jen Kalawur
Jennifer Kalawur
Yoga Therapist, Healing Energy Practitioner
Jen began her yoga teaching career through Kripalu Yoga training, which encourages the exploration of the yoga practice with compassion. She brings her unique expression of nurturing through her teaching. Wanting to offer her clients the benefits of yoga with more comprehension, she began her training in yoga therapy.
The innovative field of yoga therapy uses the science of yoga to create a system of wellness that offers a higher quality of living. In accordance with International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), Jen’s training with Nancy Candea has met the requirements and continues to study ancient practices and updates on scientific research.
Jen offers one-on-one sessions with clients to collaborate the appropriate combination of physical yoga postures, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques that best benefit the individual. Yoga therapy helps with physical issues of pain management, recovery from injury, and reducing symptoms of auto-immune diseases. It is also beneficial for mental and emotional health. Yoga therapy is not a replacement of medical or psychological treatment. It is an extension of care promoting the well-being of the individual. The lifestyle skills taught include exercise, nutrition, relaxation, positive mental processing and following your life’s path.
Jen is also a certified Reiki II practitioner. Reiki is a Japanese word generally translated as “Universal Life Force.” It is the subtle energy within all existence, which is based in love, and is a tool that supports physical, emotional and spiritual healing. The lineage began with Dr. Mikao Usui in Kyoto, Japan in the 1800s, and has expanded throughout the world today. Reiki is a gentle, non-intrusive modality that allows the energy to flow through the practitioner to the receiver. The benefits of Reiki include reduced stress, release of pain or discomfort, integration of emotional issues, deep relaxation, expanded awareness and increased intuition.
As an Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) II Practitioner, Jen connects with the angelic realm to specifically clear energy blockages being held in the nine cellular memory areas of the physical body. These energy imprints are resulting from physical trauma, emotional trauma, limiting beliefs and past-life trauma. Once released, they are replaced with positive, loving energies.
These modalities may be combined intuitively during healing sessions with clients. They are not a replacement for medical or therapeutic care, nor do they diagnose or treat illness. Jen began channeling her energies into healing in 2012 during a time of personal transition. This shift opened new perspectives and channels. She has devoted herself in cultivating her natural gifts to offer healing for those who seek it. You can follow her personal journey of healing and growth at http://jenkalawur.blogspot.com.
